All Hail Mason Jar Recipes

Yesterday I prepped food for the day as best I could in 12 min. I was proud. Here are the recipes.

All Hail Chia Seed Puddin.
That's puddin.

I didn't buy chia seeds for so long cuz they are too expensive. However, I splurged at Costco one day and gave them a shot. They last forever and fill me up. And that's how we became friends.

  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 pitted dates
  • Dash of salt
  • I added carob powder for a little chocolatey taste.
Put chia seeds in a mason jar. Blend the rest of the ingredients together until they get smooth and creamy. Pour the liquidy goodness over the chia seeds and stir them around really well. Let sit and after about 10 min, they are already ready to eat. Or store them and eat them later.

Alll Hail Green Smoothie.

What do you do when you have nothing to eat? Put whatever you can find into a blender, add some sweetener and you are good to go.

Here is what I found:.

  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple - grated
  • 1/3rd avo - all that was left
  • 4 stalks collard greens (they were a little wilted but were happier being eaten than thrown out.)
  • 1/2 cup (or so) of milk variation - I used oat milk, recipe soon to come!
  • 1 dollop of nut butter, I used peanut
  • Squeeze of lemon.
I was delightfully surprised to taste deliciousness. Sometimes these experiment smoothies take a turn for the worse.

All Hail Kombucha.

Okay so this one was easy as it was already prepped and ready in the fridge. I just had to put it in a jar. I've been drinking Kombucha a lot as it is meant to heal the digestive tract. Mine needs a bit of work and I have a feeling it is helping.

You will definitely need more than 12 min for this one. You will need a starter as Kombucha involves a fermentation process. I got one from a friend and followed this straightforward guide. Here is a previous blog on it.

All Hail Granola Mix.

The last one I don't have a pic of bu its SO easy to make, its crazy. Mix your fav granola with nut milk (can use any milk) add with some yogurt on top. You can get creative with this, add some nuts, coco nibs, maybe slice a banana. The world is your oyster.

Have fun!!!
