Oat Avocado Honey Mask

Well I have to say, even if you don't make oat milk (which I still think you should) you need to try this oat facial mask thing. Its pretty sweet.

What you need
  • 1/2 cup soaked oats (soak for 20min to overnight - or use leftover oats from oat milk
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 tbsp honey

Melt the honey if its not runny and mix them altogether. I didn't do a great job on mashing the avocado enough but maybe you have more patience than I do.

Its still on my face as I write this and its feelin' good. I can practically feel my skin becoming more radiant and my wrinkles diminishing ;)

Sam looked up from his computer to see my face covered in oats...

Sam - What are you doing?
Sus - Just made a mask.
Sam - Whats it called?
Sus - Oat Avocado Honey Mask.
Sam - What does it do?
Sus - ... pause... umm.....Im not sure.

We laughed at that for a bit. I'm pretty gullible so if someone says put oats and honey on your face, it is good for you, I wont question it.

Maybe I should find out why. Here is what I found.

OATS:
  • Oatmeal contains 18 essential amino acids - which rebuild tissue and promote healing
  • Can alleviate rashes and allergic reactions
  • Oatmeal helps to retain moisture on your skin
AVOCADO
  • Contains vitamin A and C which help to prevent aging.
  • Amazing source of fatty acids, great for moisturizing the skin
  • Contains anti-microbial properties, great for acne.
HONEY
  • Great skin cleanser
  • Assists skin to rejuvenate and stay healthy
  • Very effective moisturizer for the skin

Have fun!!
